Spring is about to open all about us. It’s the time of year for the strong sweet smell of hyacinths, lavender colored, popping up here and there. It is the time of year for colored eggs, chocolate bunnies, hats (does anyone where hats anymore?) seder suppers and Easter brunch. Spring is passing over, delivering us from the wrath of winter. New life abounds. The daffodils are blooming, the earth is giving way to the life dormant within it for the winter month.
What life has been dormant within us these past months, perhaps years? What lies waiting to bloom inside of you?
Here is what St. Paul said about this time of year: “God (aka Yahweh, Adoni) so loves us that he brought us to life…We are God’s work of art, created in Christ Jesus to live the good life as from the beginning he had meant us to live.”
You are God’s work of art. What does that look like in you? What kind of work of art are you? If you were to draw yourself as a work of art, what would it look like?
